Pilot Programs in Canada - All Time Immigration

In the coming years, Canada will be home to more than a million new immigrants! Although there are several secured pathways to immigrate to Canada and one of them is the Pilot Program. These pilot programs are limited period programs. These are specially introduced to address the needs of specific regions and communities in Canada. The primary aim of this program is to bring skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled foreign nationals to Canada.

Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot

The Rural and Northern Immigration Piot is a community-driven program. It is designed to spread the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities by creating a path to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers who want to work and live in one of the participating communities. The applicant must meet both IRCC eligibility requirements and community-specific requirements. After getting an eligible job offer from an employer in a participating community, the application will be submitted to the community for a recommendation. After a recommendation from the community, permanent residency can be applied.

Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program

AIPP is an employer-driven program launched in 2017 as an initiative between the Canadian Federal government and the Atlantic Provinces, namely, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island (PEI), and Newfoundland, and Labrador. This program helps to hire qualified candidates for a job that have not been able to fill locally. These candidates can be overseas or living in Canada temporarily.

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program works on a first-time, first-served basis and is subdivided into three programs based on the qualification and other requirements. Each of the programs has a different set of eligibility criteria:

Atlantic High Skilled Programs
Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Program

British Columbia- Tech Pilot

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot enables international workers working in 29 tech occupations to submit a PNP application for British Columbia, Canada.

The primary objective of this pilot is to welcome skilled foreign workers who can work in the technology industries leading to the growth of the provincial economy.

Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot

IRCC starts accepting applications from January 01 of every year. There is a cap of 2,750 applications under each category. Applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Through these pilots, you’ll get an open work permit to come to Canada and work temporarily if you meet eligibility requirements. This work permit is occupation restricted, but employers don’t need a Labour Market Impact Assessment to hire foreign workers. The above pilot programs let you get the work experience you need to be eligible for permanent residence.
